I’m Nina Xiaolu Liu, the new Community and Events Intern at the OpenInfra Foundation. As a student finishing up my degrees in Data Science and Economics, something that is exciting for everyone, especially students attending this year’s OpenInfra Summit, is the onsite hiring event. This is a unique opportunity to network with industry leaders and learn about potential career paths in the open source space.

You can apply for a $100 ticket by filling out this form as a student or researcher. Professors can also apply for a $300 ticket by filling out that same form. The OpenInfra Summit brings together industry leaders, developers and users to discuss the latest trends and technologies in the open infrastructure space.

The OpenInfra Summit is an excellent opportunity for students to get started in the open source community. Between Hands-on Workshops and the Project Teams Gathering the OpenInfra Summit offers numerous opportunities to learn about open source projects and how to contribute to them.

If you are new to open source and have questions about career, community or technical topics, sign up to attend the Speed Mentoring sponsored by Red Hat.

I encourage you to attend and take advantage of this opportunity to learn about open source projects and connect with potential employers. I hope to see you there!
