Let the voting begin!
OpenStack community members are voting on presentations for the OpenStack Summit, October 27 – 30, in Tokyo Japan.
Your votes help shape the direction of the upcoming Summit. This time, there was a record of over 1,500 ideas pitched for talks, panel discussions and how-to sessions; votes are cast by giving preference to which ones you are most or least interested in attending.
For the four-day conference there are 17 Summit tracks, ranging from community building and security issues to hands-on labs. If you’re a first-time Summit attendee, voting will make sure you get the most out of it.
After the voting is finished, a track lead examines the yeas and nays and orchestrates them into the final sessions. Track leads see who voted for what, so if a company stuffs the virtual ballot box to boost a pitch, they can correct that imbalance. They also keep an eye out for duplicate ideas, often combining them into panel discussions.
The deadline for voting is 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time Zone July 30, 2015.
